Fischerhütte at the Toplitzsee
GrundlseeThe Fisherman's Hut at Toplitz Lake in Grundlsee offers fresh fish dishes and regional specialties in an idyllic location directly by the lakeshore – a culinary experience in the Ausseerland.
The Fisherman's Cabin at Toplitz Lake is picturesque located on the shore of the mysterious Toplitz Lake in Gößl, a district of Grundlsee in Styria.
The inn is exclusively accessible by foot – a roughly 1.7 km long walk along the lake leads to the cabin, which is located right next to the boat dock.
Culinarily, freshly caught fish from the clear waters of the Ausseerland takes center stage. Char, trout, and other regional fish species are served in various preparations – steamed, fried, or refined with almonds. The menu is complemented by classic Austrian home-style dishes and vegetarian options.
The ambiance of the Fisherman's Cabin is rustic and cozy: A wood-paneled guest room with a tiled stove invites you to linger, while the spacious guest garden offers a direct view of the lake.
A small museum within the cabin displays artifacts from the Toplitz Lake that have been salvaged during diving expeditions.
