The Witch Festival at Oberkapfenberg Castle. The castle opens its gates again and transforms into a cauldron of witches with devilish witch music, breathtaking fire artists, puppet theater, children’s animation programs, and much more. In addition to the fortune tellers and tarot card readers, the witch market features many stalls selling handcrafted goods, delicacies, and jewelry. Fancy a magical day full of magic and adventure? The Oberkapfenberg Castle will once again transform into a meeting point for magic and sorcery on April 26, 2025. The witches are coming – small and large visitors can expect a magical festival with a witch market, witch dance, and witch fire. In addition to fortune-telling and card reading, the medieval witch market features many stands selling crafts, delicacies, and jewelry.
For the little witches, there will be the puppet theater "Dragon Funki" from Märchen an Fäden, children's crafts with Jakotopia, and face painting with the children's friends from Kapfenberg. Of course, the noble birds of prey from the castle's falconry will also be there – they can be admired at the raptor show. Vivien and the dance group Saltarello will enchant with "Witch Dance" and "Dance on the Tavern." Jakotopia will also cause some mischief here and there with the witches and the dragon. Medieval sounds will be provided by Amarok Avari and the Feigen Knechte. To top it all off, the group Flame Rain will dazzle the audience at the castle courtyard with the "Fire Show Epica."
