The Glatzl Trahütten Alm is located at an altitude of nearly 1300 m on the sunny side of the Wechsel region and can be hiked from St. Lorenzen am Wechsel towards Vorauer Schwaig / Hochwechsel in about 1.5 hours. Due to its central location, it is also easily accessible for all hikers from Hochwechsel (hiking time 2.5 hours), Vorauer Schwaig (one hour), Kaltwiesen (3 hours), and Hilmtor.
The Glatzl Trahütten Alm is a Kulinarium Steiermark hut and stands for regional quality and identity.
At the weekends and on public holidays we serve schnitzel, roast pork and for our vegetarians warm Kaspressknödl with a colorful salad!
Opening hours: Weekends and holidays from 09:00 AM and weekdays from 10:00 AM
For E-bike riders, the hut also has a charging station available.
Perfectly suited for cozy celebrations of all kinds - also with overnight accommodations!
€ 4,- toll is to be paid at the automatic barrier of the Windhag road association – no change!
