On 21 December at 14:00, Rein Abbey invites you to a very special Christmas tour. During the special guided tour ‘Christmas in Rein Abbey’, you can expect a fascinating view of the birth of Christ - depicted in impressive works of art in the centre of the Graz Region.

The baroque high altarpiece tells of the Adoration of the Shepherds in an emotional way. A medieval book illumination surprises with a special detail: the city of Graz forms the background of the Holy Night. And a Gothic stained glass window impressively depicts the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt.

This guided tour combines art, history and faith. You will feel the silence of the monastery walls and discover the deeper meaning of the Christmas season.
