As it lies at 1.700 metres above sea level, it is the perfect starting point for all kinds of activities surrounding the Dachstein glacier. Additionally, numerous events take place here - the Ramsauer Almtag (alpine pasture day) and the Weisenblasen (brass music event), the Dachstein X-treme, the climbing festival 'Viva Ferrata' or the ceremonial driving down of cattle.
The sunrises are a delight to watch from here, especially in autumn and winter. During the flowering season, our alpine garden will show you its unique colours.
