The dynamic young string quartet “Thúmos” from Italy will perform the “Lark Quartet” by Joseph Haydn, the famous String Quartet in D minor KV 421 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the only string quartet by Maurice Ravel.
The String Quartet Thumós consists of graduates of the Milan Conservatory who have been working together since the summer of 2022 in the common interest of pursuing the professional path associated with the founding of the quartet.
In 2023, the quartet won the first prize in the chamber music category of the 9th edition of the Milan Conservatory Prize and in 2024 the first prize and the special prize “Chamber Music for Europe” at the 28th edition of the “Rospigliosi” competition.
The members of the quartet graduated from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Milan and the Conservatory of Music in Lugano. Since October 2023, they have been studying for a master's degree in chamber music for strings and piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, under the direction of M.
