Chosen as a hero by the goddess Hera, Jason sets out in search of the Golden Fleece to become king of Iolkos and receives unexpected help from Medea, the king's daughter of Colchis. She leaves her home and family and betrays her father - all out of love for Jason.

Paul J. Diwiak dares to tackle the ancient material of the Medea myth with the youth ensemble of the theaterzentrum deutschlandsberg. Despite its age of several thousand years, it takes up many current themes: Love, betrayal and injustice. And don't we all know stories of incompetent men who unjustly achieve fame and power, while women sacrifice everything in the background and only experience ingratitude in the end?
