The “Archduke Johann Choir Strass” was founded in 1899 as the “German Singing Association.” The original men's choir has developed over the course of its history into a four-part mixed choir. For the 22 singers who are currently choir members, music is a shared motivation and joy. The musical repertoire ranges from early secular and sacred songs to classical works, national and international folk music, and contemporary, modern sounds. There is a musical collaboration with the “Mountain Choir St. Barbara” from Schwarzenfeld (Germany) and the “Mixed Choir Zweinitz” (Carinthia).
