Franz J. Hutter pursues a clear goal at his winery between Feldbach and Bad Gleichenberg: vibrant vineyards. His work is based on long-term sustainability, great patience, and genuine humility towards nature. Despite the sensible use of modern technology, the respectful treatment of soil and plants, as well as the preservation of traditional methods, remain central components of his philosophy.

Since 1726, the Hutter family has been managing the farm in the Styrian volcanic region – always with the aim of working in harmony with nature. The protection of resources for future generations is the focus of their efforts. This attitude is reflected in every step of the work and ultimately also in the wines.

The vines thrive on about five hectares of vineyard in various soils: from volcanic weathered rock to sand and gravel, to clay-rich soils. This diversity allows each grape variety to be cultivated on an ideal substrate, thereby strengthening its individual character. The emphasis is on the production of white wines, which make up about 65% of the vineyard area. Here you can find our selection.
