On this more challenging circular tour in Vorau in the Joglland - Waldheimat region, all leisure cyclists can expect a varied landscape with magnificent panoramic views and diverse perspectives of the Augustinian Canons' Monastery in Vorau.
The monastery is the largest and best-known monastery in Eastern Styria, the open-air museum right next to it provides a good insight into rural life in days gone by and the village of Vorau itself has a beautiful center with equally beautiful inns. If you want to see this picturesque village from above, get on your bike and take the Stiftsblick tour. The most beautiful "Stifts-Blicke" await right after the first climb up to Dörfl and then on the ride down from Riegersberg. The views of the Wechsel and the Reinberg church are further arguments in favor of this tour.
Starting from the imposing Vorau Abbey, right next to the URKRAFT Arena, the Stiftsblick Tour leads to the Reinberg Church and back to the market via Riegersberg. The starting point, Vorau Abbey, is the only monastery in Styria that is still active, and the open-air museum is located right next to it. Along the tour route, you also pass the Marktkirche church. With the destination, the Reinbergkirche, you discover another church on this tour. The tour is a highlight with special buildings, especially for those interested in culture.
Most of the route is asphalted, but around 2 kilometers are paved paths that can be managed with normal trekking bikes.
